Level 20 Aura - Elemental

Gaining the Aura

To gain the level 20 aura, you must complete the quest given to you by your hometown instructor / officer.
You will then be asked a series of misleading/confusing questions. Dont worry about these too much, if you go ahead and select an option, you will get a conformation of what aura you?ll get and still have a chance to back out. Best to just cycle through until your happy rather than try to figure out the questions.

Using above picture, you should be able to calculate the effects of the aura at each level.

The effects of each different type of aura are identical. Save for the visual effect.

Lightning

Crackling lighting forms around the character as well as a blue mist.

Water / Aqua

A deep blue glow surrounds the character, and sharp waves ripple outward from his feet.

Wind

Visible vapours of air can be seen wrapping around the character.

Fire

Fire forms around the body, the heat distorts the air itself.

Earth

An orange glow surrounds the caster, and rocks from the earth itself float upwards.

Ice

The ground around the feet freezes and a freezing shade of blue augments the character.

Level 30 - Battlemodes

At level 30 you will gain a new type of special skilled called a battle mode. Unlike the elemental Aura Codes. These are class specific and cannot be chosen. The descriptions are below, bear in mind some of these actually have negative effects.

Force Blader - Force Enchanter

Force enchanters main ability is that when the player casts an offensive magic spell in this mode, he will instead augment the sword with an element that corresponds with the spell just cast (I have no idea what effect this doe) IE, a fire spell will turn the sword into a fire sword. As a result, he cannot use offensive magic spells whilst in this mode.

Level 3 Force Enchanter
  • Attack + 50 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Magic + 50 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Defense + 60 (+10 Per Lv)
  • Hit Rate + 400 (+100 Per Lv)
  • HP Restore + 5(per 2 sec)
  • MP Use : 40
  • SP Use: 5000 (AKA one SP bar)
  • Casting Time 4.3 Sec

Wizard - Chain Caster

"Increases one?s Mana comsumption to improve the abilities"

This ability has no special traits to my knowledge.

Level 2 - Chain Caster
  • Attack +45 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Magic +45 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Defense +50 (+10 per Lv)
  • Hit Rate +300 (+100 Per Lv)
  • Defense Rate +20 (+10 Per Lv)
  • HP Restore -5(per 2sec)
  • MP Use 40
  • SP Use 5000
  • Casting Time 5 sec

Force Shielder - Counter Attack

No idea what special traits this stance has yet, if someone could tell me I?d appreciate it. (Take a screeny of the skill and post a little description from your own viewpoint)

Force Shielder - Counter Attack

Attack+40 (+5 per lvl)
Magic+40 (+5 per lvl)
Defense+40 (+5 per lvl)
Hit Rate+200 (+100 per lvl)
DefenseRate+10 (+10 per lvl)
HP Restore +5 per 2 secs
MP Use- 40
Sp Use- 5000
Casting Time-6 secs

Reflects damage of "normal attack" which renders it good against mobs but.. less effective in pvp since its almost totally skills (I imagine it might be effective against a warrior using beserker however)

More indepth information about force shielder can be found here
http://www.cabalonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34470
Warrior - Beserker

"Turns user into invincible warrior"

This seems to be quite easily one of the weaker battle modes, I think the description is a bit misleading since it stops you from using any skills whilst in aura mode. Probaly better off to never use it unless it goes under some form of changes.

Beserker - Level 3
  • Attack + 50 (+5 per Lv)
  • Magic + 50 (+5 per Lv)
  • Defense +60 (+10 per Lv)
  • Defense Rate +30 (+10 Per Lv)
  • HP Restore + 5 (per 2 sec)
  • MP Use 40
  • SP Use 5000
  • Casting Time 6.0 Seconds

Blader - Illusionist

"Enables its user to do a supersonic attack on the target"
To my knowledge this ability has no special traits, the description is misleading. Pretty nice vis effect tho ^_^.

Blader - Illusionist
Level 3
  • Attack + 26 ( +3 Per Lv)
  • Magic + 30 ( + 5 Per Lv)
  • Defense + 60 ( + 10 Per Lv)
  • Hit Rate + 400 ( + 100 Per Lv)
  • Defense Rate + 30 ( + 10 Per Lv)
  • Critical Rate + 45%
  • Critical Damage + 50%
  • MP Use 40
  • SP Use 5000
  • Casting Time 6.7 Sec

Archer - Multi Shooter

Quite a nice one, this allows you to target two enemies at the same time and attack them both with a skill.

Archer - Multi Shooter

" Enables its user to attack many targets at once "

Attack + 50 ( + 5 Per Lv )
Magic + 50 ( + 5 Per Lv )
Defense + 60 ( + 10 Per Lv )
Hit Rate + 400 ( + 100 Per Lv )
Defense Rate + 30 ( + 10 Per Lv )
HP Restore + 5 ( per 2 sec )
MP Use 40
SP Use 5000
Casting Time 5.7

Level 40 and Beyond - Stacking

Battlemodes / Auras can be stacked past level 40, I dont have the full details yet - but in the closed beta you can stack your first battle mode with your battle aura. Both of the stat effects are present and you can clearly see that the visual effects stack also. Some examples are below

It?s worth putting some thought into what elemental Aura will look good with your class. Mixing the colors is always a good idea, personally I found I was disappointed when my Elemental aura mixed with my Force Enchanter Battle mode. Since they are both blue visual effects it does not look as impressive as it could.
Level 50 - 2nd Battle mode

Like the first battle mode, the 2nd is class specific, however there is an extremely large difference between the two, at level 50 once you do the quest, you will achieve this new battle mode that will give you a new weapon. Along with this weapon , you will get a rather nice skill that you can only use in battle mode.

Force Blader - Blade Shooter

Blade Shooter
"Shoot a beam of power using the Astral Charger"
Level 1

  • Attack + 50 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Magic + 50 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Defense +50 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Hit Rate + 100 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Defense Rate + 10 (+10 Per Lv)
  • MP Use 40
  • SP Use 5000
  • Casting Time 4.3 Sec

Once activated your character will throw his sword up into the air and catch it on the way down, this makes a hell of a lot of blue trailing and looks very cool :). Once up and running your character will have the same blue aura similar in its first battle mode.

The weapon you will recieve is a Astral Charger which is worn on the free hand.

To use the charger, you must first charge it up by using a sword skill. There are 4 different states your charger can be in.

As you can see, each usage of a sword skill will result in your charger?s status changing. For this guide im going to refer to the status as Lv 0 - Lv 3

Lv 0 - Blue pulsating crystals
Lv 1 - Yellow Pulsating Crystals
Lv 2 - Purple Pulsating Crystals + Lightning that jumps between them
Lv 3 - Fiery pulsating Crystals + Lots of lightning jumping between the crystals.

Once you have your charger powered up , you must then dispel the charge by using one of your offensive magic skills.

Please note that the color of the beam will be dependant on the element you use in your offensive spell and the level of the charge.

Above is a beam that is based on the fire element. The charge level is 1.

Magic element - Charge level 3

As of yet, I have yet to see a difference between using the elements, nor have I seen a difference in what the charge levels do. Obviously you would think that the damage would increase with the charge level, but for now unless I figure out otherwise, this is not the case.

Special Skill - Prismatic Blade Cannon

Destroy Everything Around the caster with the power of the prismatic blade

MP Use 60
Casting Time 6.7 Secs

The name is a bit misleading really. After some fancy sword twirling your character does an AOE skill for massive damage. Some important things to note about the skill tho, firstly, it will only effect those within your casting range as you begin to cast the spell, not after or during. It also has really cool swords which fall down at the end (Think FF7AC when Cloud opens the whoop *** on Sephiroth)

Blader - Grappler

After some of the usual insanely cool fancyness, the Blader swaps out his dual katanas for a pair of rather menacing looking claws.

Grappler
Level 1

"Turns user into Astral Claw using Warrior"

Attack + 50 ( +5 Per Lv)
Magic + 50 ( +5 Per Lv)
Defense + 50 (+10 Per Lv)
Hit Rate + 200 (+100 Per Lv)
Defense Rate + 10 (+10 Per Lv)
MP Use 40
SP Use 5000
Casting Time 6.7 Secs

They drop out all of their other skills while in this mode, and instead switch them with a rather awesome combo attack which invovles a flurry of high damage kicks and punches.

Their special skill is known as crushing blow and during it they leap at the target doing a flying attack for insane damage.

Warrior - Lancer

Lancer
Level 1
  • "Turns its user into an Astral Lancing Warrior"
  • Attack +50 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Magic +50 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Defense +50 (+5 Per Lv)
  • Hit Rate +100 (+100 Per Lv)
  • Defense Rate +10 (+10 Per Lv)
  • MP Use 40
  • Sp Use 5000

Again another misleading name because you get a scythe, a BADASS scythe! Apart of generally cutting them to ribbons with the scythe you can also do this!

Lance Drive
Level 1

"Slash an enemy by throwing the astral lance"
MP Use 50
Casting Time 3.0 Sec

Despite the above screenshot being messed up (If someone can provide me with a new one thatd be great) it looks great and does very very nice damage.
Force Shielder - Shield Master

"A warrior with the Astral Blade shield"

Attack + 50
Magic + 50
Defense + 50
Hit Rate + 200
Defense Rate + 10
MP Use 40

Special ability

"Destroy everything around the caster with the power of lightning"

Wizard - Double Caster

"Enables its user to cast two magic spells at the same time"

Attack + 50 (+5 Per Lv)
Magic + 50 (+5 Per Lv)
Defense + 50 (+10 Per Lv)
Hit Rate +200 (+100 Per Lv)
Defense Rate + 10 (+10 Per Lv)
MP Use : 40
SP Use: 5000
Casting Time: 5.0

Whilst in this battle mode, much like the archers level 30 battle mode, the wizard can cast spells at two targets at once.

Elemental Festival

"Cast every possible elemental magic spell at once"

MP Use 70
Casting Time 7.6 Secs

Basically, the wizard will jump into the air and cast a spell of each elemental down to the ground. This is a massive combo attack which has a devastating AOE and is very visually impressive.

Force Archer - TwinGunner

"Combine two astral guns into one and attack a target"

Attack + 50 (+5 Per Lv)
Magic + 50 (+5 Per Lv)
Defense + 50 (+5 Per Lv)
Hit Rate + 200 (+100 Per Lv)
Defense Rate + 10 (10 Per Lv)
HP Restore + 5 (per 2 sec)

Description seems to be incorrect.

Probaly my favorite battle mode, the archer swaps out his bow for a pair of handguns. Using the normal attack enables the archer to fire at two different targets at once. The firing rate is extremely fast dishing out plenty of damage, also a rather nice feature is that while targeting he will adjust his arms to fire towards the correct places (as seen in the screenshot)

Their special ability is that they will do large damage to a single target by combining their pistols together. Looks kinda cool too
